Shamrock Adds Plant in North Mississippi

Shamrock Plank Flooring (Memphis, Tenn.), a division of J.T. Shannon Lumber, is adding a new, 62,900-square-foot manufacturing facility in northern Mississippi. The $1 million investment, the company says, will create 25 new jobs.

"While some of the company's finishing processes had been outsourced to facilities in China and Mexico, many of those jobs will be returning to American workers. It's time for us to bring jobs back here, there is a growing sense of patriotism and the consumer is demanding affordable and quality flooring made here in America. At Shamrock Plank Flooring we're committed to delivering that," said Jack T. Shannon, Jr., president and CEO of J.T. Shannon Lumber Company, in a statement.
