Bona Launches Certified Craftsman Program

Bona US (Aurora, Colo.) has launched its Bona Certified Craftsman Program, a network of hardwood flooring experts skilled in craftsmanship and customer service, the company says.

In order to be certified, members must complete more than 30 hours of hands-on, classroom training dedicated to best practices when caring for hardwood floors, pass a 90-question written test on technique and product application, pass a final field test evaluation to ensure the best practices learned from training are being employed, maintain a minimum four out of five star rating based on customer reviews, use Bona-approved dust containment equipment during all sanding processes, continue education with Bona through job-site visits and training several times a year, and carry enforced liability insurance coverage and workers compensation insurance required by law.

Bona backs its certification with the new Five Star Advantage, a promise to homeowners that their flooring installation will be quick, clean and hassle free with a lifetime of support.
