Lumber Liquidators and Cabinets To Go, both owned by LL founder Tom Sullivan, will officially open a 500,000-square-foot distribution and retail center in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Oct. 13. Both companies have been headquartered there since April after LL closed its Henrico County, Va., facility.
“Since moving Cabinets To Go to Lawrenceburg about ten years ago, we’ve found the local community and state of Tennessee to be a great place to do business,” Sullivan said. “We’re glad to bring more jobs and investment to the area.”
The companies expect to add close to 100 jobs to the Lawrenceburg community over the next year. “This investment brings quality jobs to our community and further strengthens Lawrence County’s position as a place where companies succeed,” said Ryan Egly, president and CEO of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
The opening will be marked with a private ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by company leadership, employees, local officials and representatives from the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. The new stores will offer special promotions to customers Oct. 13–21.
The grand opening comes at a turbulent time for LL’s and CTG’s parent company F9. Following a failed merger with Neighborhood Intelligence (formerly known as Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc.), F9 is suing Neighborhood over unauthorized statements made by CEO and reality TV star Marcus Lemonis.
The new facility includes a distribution center and LL and CTG retail stores all under one roof at 100 Motivation Drive in Lawrenceburg.
