USFloors Inc. (Dalton, Ga.) has received a patent for its Corboo line of cork-infused, strandwoven bamboo flooring (patent no. 8,541,085). The solid planks are 5¼ inches wide by 72 inches long by ½ inch thick with drop/lock glueless construction.
"We are excited to receive the patent on our Corboo floors," said USFloors President and CEO Piet Dossche in a statement. "Corboo represents a signature achievement for USFloors that affirms our commitment to bring unique and sustainable floors to the floor covering market."
Six Corboo floors are being launched into the specialty retail market this fall as an expansion of the company's flagship Natural Bamboo Expressions, collection of solid locking strandwoven bamboo floors.
