first U.S.-based dry mortar plant. Construction on the 53,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin in March 2014 in the Garrison Oak Technical Park.
The plant will manufacture floor self-leveling and patching compounds, which are currently available in the U.S. but are imported from Germany. The facility will also house a research and development center and an applications area for testing and customer training.
The company will hire 15 employees ahead of the plant's initial production start in early 2015 and plans to add eight more jobs by the end of 2018. Three new chemical engineers will work with the U.S.-based product development team located at the UFloors facility in Aurora, Colo.
