National Paint Industries (North Brunswick, N.J.), maker of specialty coatings, including the Garco, Harco and Wilson Imperial brands for the hardwood flooring industry, has purchased the assets of the Petri Paint Company (Newark, N.J.), manufacturer of clear finishes for the hardwood flooring industry.
National will manufacture all Petri products, including its lines of water-based, oil-modified and moisture-curing polyurethanes as well as quick-drying sealers.

Petri is an approved vendor with Sherwin Williams, and the products are available from over 3,500 store locations across the USA," said Mike Schnurr, president of National Paint, in a statement.
