Despite explicit language in the Lacey Act forbidding the import of illegally harvested wood products, reports released in the last year have fingered large American companies for ignoring the law, notably Lumber Liquidators.
A consortium of organizations, among them the Environmental Investigation Agency and the United Steelworkers, recently released a stop motion video on YouTube that explains what the Lacey Act is and how it needs to be fully implemented for the illegal harvesting to stop.
