New Wood Floor Company to Break Ground in West Virginia

Matt Thorn of Preston County, W. Va.-based Thorn Holdings LLC will break ground Oct. 31 on the future site of Mountain Craft Wide Plank flooring, according to the State Journal.

There will be a sawmill, drying facility and showroom for the wide plank flooring located on the site.

The company will produce wide-plank flooring made from hickory, cherry, maple, and red and white oak. The planks will come in 6-, 8- and 10-inch widths. Types of flooring offered will include plug flooring, skipped planed flooring, hand-distressed flooring, hand-scraped faces and edges, and brushed flooring.

The company will hire 10 employees when the buildings are complete.
