Domotex 2015 Draws 40,000 From 100 Countries

The NWFA Pavilion at Domotex 2015 in Hannover, Germany.Domotex 2015, held January 17-20 in Hannover, Germany, attracted 40,000 visitors from 100 countries, according to its organizers, Deutsche Messe. With 1,323 exhibitors from 63 countries in 12 halls, the organizers say it is the largest floor covering event in the world.

The majority of visitors came from European Union countries, although a significant upswing was noted in attendance from the Middle East and South, East and Central Asia. Over 85 percent of the exhibitors came from abroad.

Once again, the National Wood Flooring Association hosted a pavilion at the show with NWFA-member companies exhibiting. Those members included:

• Graf Brothers Flooring Inc.
• Hermitage Wood Products Inc.
• LaCrosse Flooring/Midwest Hardwood Corporation
• Nydree Flooring

NWFA Manufacturer Services Director John Forbes said that traffic on the show floor was steady, and that “the show far exceeded the expectations of NWFA member manufacturer exhibitors who exhibited in the NWFA partnership pavilion.” He also noted that exhibitors from the EU expressed a reserved optimism after a relatively flat 2014.
