North Carolina State University will enroll eight wood flooring professionals in its four-day Dry Kiln Operator course in Raleigh, May 19–22.
The course, hosted by NC State Extension, will give students practical knowledge about how lumber is kiln-dried and describe the scientific background about wood properties and processes.
Instruction will take place in a classroom environment and through hands-on lab exercises using the Extension’s 1,000 board-foot, steam-heated dry kiln.
The total cost is $295, but World Floor Covering Association members pay only $147.50.
Register by contacting Phil Mitchell at (919) 515-5581 or [email protected].
