Step aside UV, there’s another light in town.
Netherlands-based Vesting will introduce its new product, LED-HardWax Oil, a solvent free finish that cures using LED light, at Domotex 2017 in Hannover.
The finish, comprised of a combination of oils, waxes, resins and additives, cures in a split second when it comes into contact with LED light, according to the company. The finish can be used in prefinishing operations or by floor covering professionals on-site.
LED light has less potential to harm than UV and is less energy-intensive, according to a statement from Domotex Hannover organizers on behalf of Vesting.
The company also has a lab and production facility in Vernon, Calif., and can “quickly” deliver the new product to the U.S., the statement said.
Vesting will exhibit the LED technology at Domotex in Hall 9, stand B12. Domotex will take place Jan. 14–17.
