Italian President Gives Prize to Mohawk CEO

Italian President Sergio Mattarella awarded Mohawk Industries (Dallas) Chairman and CEO Jeff Lorberbaum the 2017 Leonardo International Prize.

The annual Leonardo International Prize recognizes individuals who have developed cultural and business relationships between their home countries and Italy. Mohawk is connected to Italy via its 2013 acquisition of the Marazzi Group, a ceramic manufacturer with three facilities in Italy.

“I am honored to receive this award on behalf of our entire team,” Lorberbaum said in a statement. “This special recognition reflects the outstanding work being done throughout our company by thousands of talented, dedicated people.”
