Valentus Specialty Chemicals (North Brunswick, N.J.) added PoloPlaz (Jacksonville, Ark.) to its list of coatings companies subsidiaries on Aug. 15.
PoloPlaz joins fellow Valentus-owned brands Precision Technology Floor Finishes, Absolute Coatings and National Paint Industries.
PoloPlaz products are still sold under the same names and in the same packaging, and employees and operations in Jacksonville will not be impacted by the acquisition, PoloPlaz’s previous owner Chad Baker said. Baker and former co-owner Mac Hogan are now a part of Valentus’ management team and shareholders.
Baker explained what the partnership meant for PoloPlaz in a letter he sent to customers: enhanced product offerings and technologies, expanded tech support and faster delivery in the Northeast.
“PoloPlaz will still be the premium coatings company we’ve always been… now with extra horsepower,” Baker said.
