About three-quarters of wood flooring and molding manufacturer Westgate Hardwoods’ (Durham, Calif.) 10,000-square-foot facility was destroyed by an early morning fire Sept. 26.
The fire is believed to have started around 1:45 a.m., about eight hours after another fire had started at the facility and was extinguished, according to Action News Now. The fire department is unsure if the first fire rekindled or if the second fire was separate from the first.
No one was hurt in the fire, and the company owner told Action Now News he plans to rebuild and reopen.
Westgate Hardwoods posted a photo of its burned facility to its Facebook page with the caption: “For those that may have seen in our local area, it is with heavy heart that we lost part of our Westgate building to a fire early this morning. Everybody is safe but lives were changed. We will keep updates as we move forward. #westgatefamily!”
