Mannington Mills (Salem, N.J.) donated $25,000 last week to hurricane relief efforts spearheaded by Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational Christian organization that provides aid across the world.
Samaritan’s Purse has already provided plastic shelters, blankets and hygiene kits to 1,200 households in Puerto Rico. The donations will also help those most in need in Texas and Florida.
“In times like these, it’s our responsibility to step up and help those in need,” said Mannington’s Chairman of the Board Keith Campbell in a statement. “Mannington has always talked about caring for others, and this is just one of the ways we are able to put those words into action.”
Mannington associates have contributed $13,000, which was matched by Mannington for a total of $26,000, to the American Red Cross in the past month. The company plans to donate flooring for the rebuilding efforts in the impacted areas, as well.
