More than 150 state and local dignitaries, business partners and Floor & Decor associates gathered Feb. 2 for the ribbon-cutting of Floor & Decor’s new Savannah distribution center.
Located on a 90-acre site in the Morgan Business Center in the western suburb of Bloomingdale, the new center is one of the Savannah region’s largest industrial development projects, the company says.
Floor & DĂ©cor says the center brings an additional 30 jobs to the area. With 55 jobs that shift to the location from the former distribution center and another 47 positions at Floor & Decor's 68,000-square-foot Savannah retail store and design center, the company now employs an estimated 132 people in the Savannah area.
The company says the modern features will help Floor & Decor facilitate product storage and more efficient distribution to its retail stores in the eastern United States.
