Greenbuild, a global conference dedicated to sustainable building, will hold its first event outside of the U.S. this April as it convenes in Berlin, Germany.
The conference will take place April 17-18 at the Radisson Blu Hotel and Meeting Center.
The event will feature inspirational speakers, networking opportunities, showcases and sessions on the LEED green building rating system, according to a press release.
The move outside the U.S. shows an eagerness in the green building community to learn from one another, according to U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) President Mahesh Ramanujam in a statement.
Germany made the USGBC’s Top 10 Countries and Regions for LEED outside the U.S. this year, coming in at number 5.
Greenbuild, founded in 2002 by the U.S. Green Building Council, provides a forum for the green building community to gather and address issues and changes within the industry as it looks to promote more sustainable, energy-saving buildings.
Registration for the event is open through March 21.
Greenbuild’s next conference and expo in the U.S. will be Nov. 14-16 in Chicago at McCormick Place.
