Armstrong Flooring To Raise Prices For All Product Categories May 1

Armstrong Flooring (Lancaster, Pa.) announced that it will initiate price increases for all product categories, as well as additional freight and energy surcharges, May 1.

The scheduled price hikes are due to strained lumber availability, according to the company, along with continued energy, transportation and operating cost inflation.

“Our entire organization is working hard every day to mitigate these increases, but at this point the rate the market is experiencing is outpacing those activities,” SVP of N.A. Sales Brent Flaharty said in a statement.

Armstrong previously announced a 5-7 percent price increase for its solid hardwood products in March.
