DuChateau (San Diego) appointed Gary Cissell as the company’s first buying group and national programs manager.
Cissell will be in charge of formulating and implementing a corporate strategy for expanding into new markets, including retail, commercial builder groups and national account arenas. Cissell will also help oversee the company’s salesforce growth.
Cissell has nearly 30 years of experience in the flooring industry and was a founding member of the National Floorcovering Alliance in 1991, where he served as president from 1994–2001. He most recently served as VP of sales and marketing for Touch of Color Flooring and also held senior positions in Millcreek Carpet and Bob’s Carpet & Flooring Mart.
“With his extensive experience in the retail flooring segment and his background in working alongside suppliers to develop successful programs, Gary is the perfect leader for this new initiative,” DuChateau VP of Residential Sales Todd Gates said in a statement. “Gary will be the dealer’s inside man, developing programs from the perspective of our dealers for the long-term growth of our customers.”
Cissell is based in Omaha, Neb.
