Graf Brothers Flooring (South Shore, Ky.) and its long-time primary floor manufacturer Appalachian Wood Floors (Portsmouth, Ohio) announced the two companies will restructure their relationship.
In the new structure, Appalachian Wood Floors, owned and operated by President Andrew Graf and CEO Jim Graf, will be rebranded as “Graf Custom Hardwood Floors” and will manufacture engineered, herringbone, chevron and prefinished wood flooring, as well as producing its own line of solid wood flooring. In turn, Graf Brothers Flooring, owned and operated by President Dave Graf and Vice President Greg Graf, will stop producing engineered, herringbone and other specialty flooring, and will instead focus on its production of rift and quartered white oak and solid flooring.
A joint press release said the restructuring will allow both companies to grow in a direction that helps support their customer base, and that during this transition, all existing orders and quotes should be filled without any issues. “It is our goal to make this transition as seamless as possible,” the release said.
The two companies have worked together for 16 years.
“We are extremely proud of the strong bond between both companies and appreciate all of our customers we have been able to supply through the years,” the companies said.
