WFB Briefs: FCICA, CFI to Collaborate; Kährs’ Sustainability Goals; April Construction Spending

The Flooring Contractors Association (FCICA) and the International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) announced they will work together to increase the number of certified installation managers (CIMs) in the flooring industry. To begin, FCICA is offering CFI members a discount code for its “3 Days to CIM” event Oct. 12–14 in Atlanta. The program normally costs $1,670, but the code will save CFI members $345. Kährs Group announced it is committing to several sustainable development goals outlined by the United Nations. The goals will include using more sustainable internal transportation with fossil-free fuel, reducing energy use and securing sustainable sourcing of the company’s raw materials.
