Wood flooring companies in China sold 417.6 million square meters of wood and bamboo flooring in 2018, a 0.6% increase from 2017.
China has approximately 3,000 wood flooring manufacturers, more than 1,200 of which can also produce laminate flooring.
Recent wood flooring trends in the country include environmentally friendly wood and solid wood flooring with heating systems, the report states. The report predicts that imported flooring will lose its competitive edge in the country as its domestic manufacturing increases.
