Lumber Liquidators’ founder and former CEO Tom Sullivan is interested in discussing a possible purchase or merger with his former company.
Sullivan, who is currently the owner of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.-based Cabinets To Go, which sells cabinetry and flooring, issued a Securities and Exchange Commission filing stating that he “would like to explore various options” with Lumber Liquidators, including “a potential sale” of the company or a “potential combination” of Lumber Liquidators and Cabinets To Go.
Sullivan raised his stake in Lumber Liquidators to nearly 6% in August.
Sullivan was removed as an employee of the Lumber Liquidators and resigned from its board of directors in 2017. He founded the company in 1994.
