
The carpeting giant, owned by Mohawk Industries, will also begin producing a luxury vinyl flooring line.
“Since the emerging flooring consumer places a heavy emphasis on brand and has a strong preference for hard surface, we knew now was the time to expand Karastan,” Mohawk VP of Residential Marketing Seth Arnold said in a statement.
BelleLuxe will feature wide planks curated from aged woods. The flooring will have a wear layer that can be refinished up to three times and will have KaraFinish, a low-gloss finish, the company says. The line features four collections: Chevreau (French oak), Ashmore Oak, Worthington Oak (and Herringbone), and Villa Pointe Maple.
