Flooring Subcontractor’s Father Arrested After $60K Worth of Items Stolen from Home

The father of a subcontractor working for a hardwood flooring company was arrested for allegedly stealing $60,000 worth of items from a home where his son had been working, News Channel 5 reports.

The subcontractor’s father, Larry Temes, is facing felony theft charges in Marshall County, Tenn.

The subcontractor was hired by Brentwood, Tenn.-based R & S Flooring to work on the home while the homeowner was out of town. Several of the stolen items, which included jewelry, were later located at pawn shops in the area.

R & S Flooring said they do perform background checks, and issued a statement reaffirming their commitment “to ensuring that each customer has a safe and pleasant experience,” according to the report. The company added that it is “working with all parties involved to bring this to a quick and amicable close.”

The subcontractor has been fired, according to the report.
