WFB Briefs: Value of 2019 EU Wood Imports Increases; Shaw Employees Recognized

The value of European Union imports of wood products in 2019 was 20.51 billion euro (22.78 billion USD), an increase of 4% compared with 2018, Fordaq reports. EU wood imports previously increased 5% in 2018 compared with 2017.

Two Shaw Industries employees received the Manufacturing Institute’s STEP Ahead Award. The distinction went to Quality Engineering Manager Michelle Wilson and Director of Customer Service Tracy Corbin. Both will be honored at the Women in Manufacturing STEP Ahead Awards April 30 in Washington D.C.
