The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has been far reaching, and nearly one in four home sellers say they are changing how their homes are viewed amid the outbreak, according to a National Association of Realtors (NAR) survey.
The changes including requiring potential buyers to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer, asking potential buyers to remove their shoes, or stopping open houses altogether.
In the survey, which was released March 12, eight out of 10 retailers reported no change in buyer interest due to the coronavirus (78%). Sixteen percent of respondents reported decreased interest due to the virus, with sellers in California and Washington reporting the largest decreases in buyer interest.
