Shaw Flooring Network (SFN) is partnering with World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) to advocate for a solution to the industry’s ongoing installer shortage.
As part of the partnership, SFN members will be granted automatic WFCA membership. The partnership follows the December launch of WFCA’s “Be a Part of the Solution” campaign, in which the organization pledged to bring the flooring industry together to develop programs to help attract more installation professionals into the industry.
One of the goals of the campaign and the partnership with SFN is to educate Congress about the impact the labor shortage has on the industry and gain government support in attracting talent to the flooring installation trade, according to WFCA.
“With the Shaw Flooring Network’s partnership, WFCA’s membership will gain more than 1,500 members and will help tremendously in strengthening the power they have in Washington D.C.,” WFCA stated.
“The installation crisis is an issue we can’t solve as individuals,” stated Dean Howell, SFN Dealer Council member and WFCA chair elect. “Our industry must work together.”
