MAPEI Receives Over 255 Indoor Advantage Gold Certifications for Indoor Air Quality

MAPEI (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) received Indoor Advantage Gold certification for indoor air quality for more than 255 of its products in the U.S.

The certifications, given by SCS Global Services, were for products in various categories with low VOC emissions, including architectural coatings, sealants and adhesives.

The third-party certification is recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and General Services Administration (GSA) and qualifies for green-building ratings systems such as LEED v4, the WELL Building Standard, BREEAM, Living Building CHallenge and NAHB Green Building Standard.

MAPEI previously had 82 Indoor Advantage Gold-certified products.

“VOC emissions are among our most requested sustainability-related certifications,” stated Brittany Storm, sustainability manager for MAPEI. “We’re excited to share this accomplishment with our customers.”
