Construction employment increased in 329 out of 358 metros in May, climbing back after a devastating April, the Associated General Contractors of America reports.
AGC credited the job growth to an easing of coronavirus lockdowns around the country during the month.
The Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, Wash., market reported the largest increase in construction jobs added in May, with 28,600 (44%). It was followed by New York City (25,000, 31%) and Pittsburgh, Pa. (22,000, 60%).
