Lowe’s and Home Depot are now requiring customers to wear face masks in all store locations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The mandate went into effect at Lowe’s July 20 and begins at Home Depot July 22. Both companies said stores will provide free masks to customers who do not have them.
Employees at both retail chains are also required to wear facial masks in stores, and both companies are also enforcing social distancing at locations.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has continued to advise that cloth face coverings are an effective tool at stopping the spread of COVID-19.
