WFB Briefs: Flooring Retailer Seeks Installers; Amazon Fires on the Rise; 3M July Sales Up

Fires in the Amazon are on the rise as the region enters its peak fire season, Mongabay reports. A total of 227 fires spanning 315,963 acres were reported between May 28–Aug. 10. As of Aug. 13, that number rose to 266 fires, a majority of them illegal, according to the report.

3M (St. Paul, Minn.) reported $2.8 billion in sales in July, a 6% increase year-over-year. Total sales increased 29% in Health Care, 9% in Consumer and 6% in Safety and Industrial. The company’s Transportation and Electronics segment declined 7%. The full report can be found here.
