J.J. Haines CEO Hoy Lanning to Retire in Next December

J.J. Haines President and CEO Hoy Lanning announced plans to retire Dec. 31, 2021.

Lanning will step down as president at the end of this year but continue on in an executive role at the company throughout 2021. The Belknap White Group President Paul Castagliuolo will take over as president of Belknap/Haines effective Jan. 1, 2021, and will oversee the combined companies. Belknap CEO Ray Mancini will assume the role of CEO at Belknap/Haines.

Lanning has spent 43 years in the flooring industry and joined Haines in 2014 after the company acquired CMH Flooring, where Lanning had served as CEO. Lanning took over as president and CEO of Haines in 2018. Belknap purchased a controlling interest in Haines in early 2019.

“I am confident that the company will continue to move in a positive direction,” Lanning said in a statement. “We have improved our service, our financial position and established a positive culture throughout Haines. It is a great time to pass the baton and plan to move toward another chapter in my life.”
