Brazilian exports of wood-based products surged 25.6% in August year-over-year to a value of $293.1 million, reports ITTO.

 

The National Association of Home Builders held a virtual meeting with U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to discuss the soaring prices of lumber, HBS Dealer reports. Lumber prices have surged 170% since mid-April and added more than $16,000 to the price of a new single-family home.

 

Shaw (Dalton, Ga.) appointed Kellie Ballew VP of global stability. Ballew has been with Shaw for 25 years and has spent the last two working on the company’s sustainability strategy and execution.
