Dalton Carpet One (Athens, Ga.) says it has developed a residential flooring installation process that “kills COVID-19.”
The process, called “Neutralize,” is an updated version of its original installation system (“Healthier Living Installation”) and adds disinfectant measures to the procedure.
It includes the following steps:
Remove the old floor and HEPA vacuum the subfloor
Spray HealthinEx evenly on the subfloor
Allow 10 minutes for the product to dry in order to inhibit the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria
Install the new floor and HEPA vacuum
Spray the new floor with VitalOxide disinfectant and allow it 10 minutes to dry
Both HealthinEx and VitalOxide are EPA-approved, according to DCO. The company said it conducted a market survey in which 72% of the participants reported a “healthier system” for flooring installation would sway their buying decision.
