On Sept. 2, Domotex Asia/ChinaFloor concluded the flooring industry’s first major in-person trade show since the COVID-19 pandemic, and organizers have scheduled the next event for March 24–26, 2021, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong.
“Despite the global health and economic challenges, Domotex Asia/ChinaFloor held a successful edition in 2020 and managed to still provide a trade platform for flooring professionals in a much-needed time,” the event’s post-show report states. “Domotex Asia/ChinaFloor will continue, with strong confidence, offering the right tools, stage and opportunity to support and revitalize the industry and keep this important Asian hub for flooring up and running.”
The Aug. 31–Sept. 2 show, held in Shanghai, attracted 852 flooring and floor technology brands and more than 40,860 visitors, according to organizers. The event also held virtual events for those who could not attend due to the pandemic, and organizers reported the show’s Global Flooring Connect site received 83,000 unique visitors. Its live Twitter broadcast received more than 350,000 views.
