For Halloween, we asked wood floor pros to share the scariest wood floors they’ve seen. They didn’t disappoint. Reviewing the following submissions may be similar to watching a horror film … particularly the part where you want to shout, “Don’t go in there!”
Robbie Prevatt
This is mastic. There was asbestos tile on top of it, which was removed … then sanded and finished the heart pine. Two hours of work, two hours of cleaning the machines…
Bob Alberding

1/16-inch top layer maple that needs to be refinished.
Tara Lynn Cresswell
This client went with the cheaper bid and the flooring contractor installed prefinished hardwood to go with the existing on-site sand and finish. Let’s not forget to mention the person he hired also tried to sand and refinish the existing. Scariest floor I have seen.
