CFI Hosts First In-Person Training Since COVID Outbreak

The International Certified Flooring Installers Association (CFI) held its first hands-on training since the coronavirus outbreak in March.

The training, a one-week basic hardwood, laminate and LVT course, was held at the CFI training center in Forney, Texas, Oct. 26–30. The event was sold out and attracted installers from across the country, according to CFI.

The organization said it followed guidelines established by the Texas Department of Health Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the event, including mandatory social distancing, masks and daily sanitizing.

“We are thrilled to offer this on-site training again and have this kind of enthusiastic response,” CFI Executive Director Robert Varden said in a statement. “Hands-on learning simply can’t be substituted.”

CFI’s training event calendar can be found here.
