AHF to Invest $2.5M in Kentucky Manufacturing Plant, New End Grain Line

AHF Products plans to invest $2.5 million to expand its Somerset, Ky., facility early next year, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear’s office announced. The initiative is projected to create 20 full-time jobs.

The expansion will include space for a new line of end-grain hardwood flooring, which is expected to begin production in February. Work on the expansion has already begun.

“We continue to invest in our Somerset plant due to the quality of the products and dedication to future growth that we see from employees,” AHF Products CEO Brian Carson said in a statement. “Our customers continue to see value in U.S.-manufactured products, and this new development not only creates new-to-the-world technology but continues our commitment to domestic manufacturing and grows our share of U.S.-manufactured wood products.”

The state preliminarily approved the company for up to $80,000 in tax incentives for the investment. The plant currently has 145 employees.
