U.S. hardwood flooring imports increased 7% in September, the fourth consecutive month of gains, ITTO reports.
Despite the month-over-month uptick, hardwood flooring imports are down 20% compared with September 2019.
Imports from Indonesia rose 51% during the month but were less than half of their level in September 2019.
Imports of engineered wood flooring fell 5% in September, but were up 23% year-over-year. Engineered wood flooring imports from China plunged 41% during the month, while imports from Vietnam rose 12% in September and 45% year-over-year.
