WFB Briefs: Brazilian Amazon Deforestation Hits 12-Year High; Pallmann’s Interactive Product Catalog; More

Deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon reached a 12-year high between August 2019 and July 2020, CNN reports. Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research reported that 6,890 square miles of the Amazon were destroyed during that time period, the highest amount of destruction since 2008.

 

Pallmann launched an interactive product catalogue that features a mobile-friendly flip style interface to allow readers to more easily access product videos, data sheets and recorded webinars.

 

European sawn hardwood production is forecast to record a 25% decline in 2020, according to ITTO. The decline is attributed largely to the COVID-19 pandemic. The full report can be found here.
