The Flooring Education Guild has scheduled a series of seven wood science webinars beginning Jan. 7.
The classes will include a video Jan. 7, followed by a live Go To Meeting session Jan. 14 with a lecture on the video’s contents and interaction with instructors. The classes will be held once every two weeks until the course is completed. Subjects of the classes include wood and water; how the drying process can influence wood flooring; mechanical properties; moisture in buildings; introduction to engineered wood flooring; wood flooring; subflooring and connections; and the differences between solid and engineered wood flooring.
