A New York City building inspector has been charged with accepting a bribe from a construction company in exchange for not issuing a fine in connection with a stop work order.
The inspector allegedly accepted $1,200 in cash from the construction company and in return ensured the Department of Buildings (DOB) would not issue a $25,000 fine to the company.
