WFB Briefs: Canadian Housing Starts Drop; A Possible Solution to Ash Borer Problem; Mohawk Roadshow Heads to Vegas

Canadian housing starts declined 13.5% in February to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 245,922 units. Despite the February decline, historically housing starts in the country are still trending upward. The full report can be found here.

 

University of Minnesota researchers have discovered different species of fungi that attack invasive emerald ash borers. The fungi, which reside beneath the bark of certain trees, are now being tested as a means of biocontrol to curb the ongoing destruction of ash trees by the emerald ash borer.

 

The Mohawk Momentum Roadshow will make an appearance at The International Surface Event in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center June 16–18. The showroom will be made available to specialty retailers by appointment only. Registration will open April 1.
