Välinge Flooring Launches Line in Asia with Help From Ping-Pong Champ

Välinge Flooring, based in Sweden, is launching its Hardened Wood Floors line in Asia in the first quarter of 2021, and it’s doing so with the help of Swedish table-tennis champion J-O Waldner.

Waldner, whose four-decade table-tennis career has earned him Olympic gold medals and numerous championship titles, became the official spokesperson for the flooring line in Asia. In China, Walder is affectionately known as Cháng Qīng Shù (“The Evergreen Tree”), according to Välinge.

The flooring line is manufactured at the company’s Swedish headquarters and features the company’s fold-down locking and Woodura surface technology, and is available in eleven different shades in oak, ash and walnut.
