The Floor Educational Guild will host virtual classes on moisture testing April 1.
The first class at 1 p.m. EST will be taught by William Thornton of Tarkett Sports Floors, who will discuss moisture testing methods for the company's sports floors.
The class will be followed by a presentation by Tramex Moisture Meters CEO Andrew Rynhart, who will discuss the latest knowledge and developments that make moisture testing “essential to a successful installation,” and ways to save money on moisture testing. Everyone who registers before 5 p.m. EST March 31 will be able to watch a recording of the class at their convenience.
The final class of the day will feature a more “free form” question-and-answer course with Virginia Tech wood science experts, Dr. Brian Bond, Dr. Daniel Hindman and Dr. Joseph Loferski. They will answer questions about a prerecorded 90-minute presentation about “moisture in buildings” that will be sent to attendees several days in advance. The presentation will discuss the multiple points for moisture in a building that can impact wood floors.
To register for the classes, email Selva “Lee” Tucker here. The classes are available free to the first 50 WFB readers who register with the subject line: “WFB offer: free Tramex Meters Moisture Testing Class.”
Those who register using the code "TWFB - Guild" can receive a 10% discount on Tramex meter kits.
