Oshkosh Designs (Winneconne, Wis.), widely known for its custom hardwood flooring medallions, has transferred ownership to a group of investors.
Brenda Kubasta, who owned the company for the past 10 years, announced the transfer of the brand and its assets was effective Feb. 12.
The investors, some of whom are also investors in Owens Flooring (Shawano, Wis.), formed Oshkosh Designs LLC. Oshkosh Designs will continue to do business out of its Winneconne manufacturing facility.
Eddie Noel, managing partner at Owens Flooring, took over as managing partner at Oshkosh. Noel said both Oshkosh and Owens will continue to operate independently and “do what they do best.” The purchase of Oshkosh could provide opportunities for collaboration with Owens on flooring projects, Noel told WFB.
"We think it's appealing to serve people who want a special floor," he added.
