The value of China’s wood flooring exports fell 19% to $120 million in 2020, while the value of its imports dropped 8% to $78 million, ITTO reports.
ITTO said the decline was largely due to the impact of China-U.S. trade friction, as well as the weakened world economy.
U.S. antidumping tariff rates on wood composite floors have also increased in recent years, hurting China’s wood flooring exports.
Compared with 2015, the value of China’s wood flooring exports has declined 56%, from $274 million to $120 million.
