WFB Briefs: Beasley Auctions Solid Flooring Equipment; FSC President Steps Down; New Addition to Kährs Board

Beasley Flooring Products (Macon, Ga.) is auctioning off older solid flooring manufacturing equipment from its Melbourne, Ark., facility. The equipment was used when Mohawk operated the facility before selling it to Beasley in late 2019. Beasley never used the solid flooring equipment following the purchase, according to the company. Beasley will continue to manufacture engineered hardwood flooring products in partnership with Mohawk at the facility.

Forest Stewardship Council U.S. President Corey Brinkema will step down from his position effective June 30. Brinkema has been at the helm of the organization for 13 years and is leaving to care for his parents, according to FSC. FSC said it will work with an executive search firm to find Brinkema’s replacement.

Kährs Group (Malmo, Sweden) appointed Lisa Gøttler to its board June 1. Gøttler is marketing and category management director at Kvik, which produces furnishings for kitchens, bathrooms and wardrobes.
