Pervanovo Invest AB (Viken, Sweden) announced its acquisition of Spacva d.d., one of the largest manufacturers of oak veneers in Croatia. As a result of the purchase, Pervanovo, the parent company of Välinge Innovation, became the largest manufacturer of FSC-certified oak veneers for the flooring and furniture industry in Europe, with a production exceeding 20 million square meters.
The company will combine Spacva with another veneer producer it owns, forming Bjelin Spacva d.o.o.
The acquisition will double the company’s supply of oak, a material currently in high demand.
“The expanded production capacity enables us to both increase our own flooring production as well as to supply veneers to our Woodura licensees,” Välinge Innovation CEO Niclas Håkansson said in a statement.
The company also runs the world’s largest wood flooring factory in Croatia.
